Sunday, August 25th 3:00 – 6:00 PM
w/ Deva Kaur, Lead Trainer
Come join us to celebrate Yogi Bhajan’s birthday, to honor our new graduates, and to learn about our upcoming Kundalini Teacher Training program! You are invited to a celebration of the birthday, life and teachings of Yogi Bhajan. Yogi Bhajan passed away on October 6 in 2004, so why do we still celebrate his birthday? Because it is a great reason to have a healthy, happy and holy party! And to practice the very effective yoga & meditation he shared. You and your loved ones are invited! Yes, we continue to celebrate the life of our teacher and also know that he cautioned us against putting him or anyone else on a pedestal, in his own words:
“Every student has to conquer his teacher. Not sensually or wisdom wise, but in an absolutely super, self-enlightened capacity. Everybody has to do that, because you are the tomorrow and the teacher is the today.” – Yogi Bhajan 1997
This is the reason we teach Kundalini yoga, meditation, and yogic lifestyle so anyone willing to put out the effort can receive the benefits. We are also celebrating the graduation of students from the recent Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training. If you or someone you know is interested in taking the Level 1 Training, it is also a great time to meet the many wonderful humans who are local Kundalini teachers, and speak to graduates about their experience. We will also have a time for a small group question, answer and discussion for those interested in the Kundalini Training starting this September. The evening will also include a meditation class with Yogi Bhajan on our large screen at YOGA SOURCE Plantation. Please feel free to bring friends, family & children to this community event. There is plenty of seating available for those who are not comfortable on the floor, but please bring your mat/pillow if the floor works for you. A vegetarian meal will be served, so please RSVP if you plan to come so we can have plenty of good food for you and your friends and family! There is no charge for this event, though some of us choose this event to donate to the Yogi Bhajan Library of Teachings, and the searchable database that is now available in its beginning stages at no cost online at www.LibraryofTeachings.org .
